NBC has announced the second-season cast of Running Wild with Bear Grylls, which will premiere July 13 at 10PM ET/PT and feature famed adventurer and survivalist Bear Grylls taking a handful of high-profile celebrities on a 48-hour journey of a lifetime.

Running Wild with Bear Grylls will feature Oscar-winning actress Kate Winslet, Oscar-nominated actress Kate Hudson, NFL quarterback Drew Brees, Modern Family star Jesse Tyler Ferguson, The Hangover star Ed Helms, actress Michelle Rodriguez, actor James Marsden, and actor Michael B. Jordan heading into the most remote and wild locations in the United States for 48 hours of extreme tasks and conditions.

Each celebrity will have one stand-alone episode in which he or she will be partnered with Grylls one-on-one.

The celebrities will visit the jungles of Panama, the Italian Alps, the Colorado Rocky Mountains, and the Red Rocks of Utah, as Grylls attempts to push the stars' minds and bodies to the limit in order to successfully complete their journeys and tackle their deepest fears -- from skydiving to repelling.

"It has been such a privilege to adventure alongside these iconic men and women -- and this season has made for some unforgettable journeys," Grylls said in a statement.

"The excitement of being dropped into uncharted territory and tackling the wilderness head-on, in the way we do, can be both daunting and very draining, but it is also very empowering when we finally make it out in one piece. Along the way we get to see the stars we love in a totally authentic way as they face a few demons and come through it stronger. And that's the beating heart of Running Wild."

Grylls also recently starred on NBC's Get Out Alive with Bear Grylls reality series and serves as host and executive producer of The Island.

Running Wild with Bear Grylls is produced by Electus and Bear Grylls Ventures. In addition to Grylls, the show is executive produced by Ben Silverman, Chris Grant, Laura Caraccioli and Viki Cacciatore.
