The actress and Val finished in first place on the judges' leaderboard during Dancing with the Stars' twentieth-season Monday night premiere on ABC. The 12 competing couples could perform either a foxtrot, cha cha or jive routine.

Val and Rumer, the daughter of high-profile stars Bruce Willis and Demi Moore, topped the leaderboard after they received 32 out of 40 possible points for their foxtrot routine from Dancing with the Stars judges Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli, and Julianne Hough.

Two couples tied at the bottom of the leaderboard with only 22 points: Singer and deejay RedFoo and his partner Emma Slater as well as model and actress Charlotte McKinney and her partner Keo Motsepe.

RedFoo and Emma danced the cha cha, while Charlotte and Keo performed the jive.

Second place on the judges' leaderboard went to R5 frontman -- and second cousin of Julianne and Derek Hough -- Riker Lynch and partner Allison Holker after they danced a jive routine worthy of 31 points.

Third place on the leaderboard went to Olympian Nastia Liukin and partner Derek with 30 points. They danced the foxtrot.

Shark Tank star Robert Herjavec and partner Kym Johnson finished in fourth place on the leaderboard after they performed a cha cha routine that received 28 points from the judges.

Fifth place on the leaderboard was a three-way tie between the following couples: The Bachelor star Chris Soules and partner Witney Carson, former NFL player Michael Sam and partner Peta Murgatroyd, and U.S. Army veteran Noah Galloway and partner Sharna Burgess.

All three couples earned 26 points from the judges. Chris and Witney danced the jive. Michael and Peta took the stage with a cha cha routine, as did Noah and Sharna.

Eighth place also represented a tie between three pairs who walked away from the night with 25 points apiece.

The Hunger Games star Willow Shields and partner Mark Ballas danced the cha cha. Actress and author Suzanne Somers and partner Tony Dovolani performed the cha cha as well. Iconic singer Patti LaBelle and partner Artem Chigvintsev danced a foxtrot routine.

The couple with the lowest total of judges' scores and home viewer votes from Monday night's performance show will be eliminated during next week's broadcast.
