The Voice coaches Blake Shelton and Pharrell Williams snagged the only four-chair turnarounds during the first night of Blind Auditions, while Adam Levine walked away with a completely empty team.

During Monday night's premiere of The Voice's eighth season, Blake, Pharrell, Adam and Christina Aguilera all started on their new journey of finding talent via the blind auditions. Three artists got all four coaches to turn around and fight for them.

Sarah Potenza, a 34-year-old from Nashville, TN, sparked the interest of all four coaches. Blake found a Nashville connection, while Christina argued she was very curious about Sarah and feeling refreshed, Pharrell explained that Sarah gave the generation something they've never seen before and he was caught up in the moment. Adam hugged the singer and said he'd make her into a Rock n' Roll star.

After all pleas were made, Sarah opted to be on Blake's team. She said she made her decision based on strategy and it was well thought out.

Cody Wickline, a 20-year-old from Beckey, WV, also chose to be on Blake's team after all four coaches bickered over getting him on their team.

Adam called Cody "a truly brilliant voice that transfers genres" along with the "best country performance ever performed on the show." Blake said he could introduce Cody to Nashville, and Pharrell noted he'd like to rise to the occasion and work with an anomaly. Christina explained his voice was beautiful and his gift was undeniable.

The other four-chair turnaround was Sawyer Fredericks, a 15-year-old from Fultonville, NY. Adam made the bold comment that he'll be standing at the very end of the competition. Christina begged Sawyer to be on her team, saying they could be roommates if he wanted because he was a legend in his own right. Blake noted Sawyer has "a badass awesome sound," while Pharrell was taken to another time and explained it was his destiny to perform.

Sawyer ended up choosing Pharrell, which surprised everyone -- including Pharrell.

The following artists turned three chairs around: Rob Taylor, a 22-year-old from Donaldsonville, LA and Meghan Linsey, a 28-year-old from Nashville, TN.

Rob wanted to be on Christina's team after she fought for him against Adam and Pharrell. The same three coaches went after Meghan as well, but she opted to be on Pharrell's team.

Pharrell beat Adam once again when he won over Lowell Oakley, a 19-year-old from Durham, NC. Blake also defeated Adam in a battle for Joshua Davis, a 37-year-old from Traverse City, MI.

After Christina and Blake went at it over Treeva Gibson, a 16-year-old from Frederick, MD, she picked Christina.

Three artists failed to turn a chair around: Ivonne Acero, a 16-year-old from Agula, AZ; Mason Henderson; and Bryce Sherlow, a 17-year-old from Ho-Ho-Xus, NJ.
