Nick Cannon has filed for divorce from wife Mariah Carey.

Just about one week prior, Carey had notably missed her rehearsal for the 2014 Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Lighting. She had coincidentally been on the phone dealing with an alleged problem related to Cannon.
Carey was reportedly talking to her lawyers in order to figure out the terms of her property settlement.
Cannon, 34, reportedly left the 44-year-old former American Idol judge after six years of marriage. He confirmed there was "trouble in paradise" in late August 2014 during an interview with The Insider, when he also revealed he had been living in a separate house from the singer for several months.
The couple wed in April 2008. They have three-year-old twins together named Monroe and Moroccan, who were born in April 2011.
