The Sing-Off will be returning with a holiday special in about a month.

NBC has announced it will air a two-hour special of The Sing-Off in which six new a cappella groups will perform and compete on Wednesday, December 17 from 9-11PM ET/PT for the $50,000 grand prize.

Singer and songwriter Jewel, Boyz II Men's Shawn Stockman and Fall Out Boy frontman Patrick Stump will serve as judges with Nick Lachey, a former 98 Degrees member and Newlyweds star, reprising his role as host.

Last year's The Sing-Off winner Home Free hit No. 1 on the country iTunes chart with their newest album "Crazy Life" and No. 4 on the overall iTunes chart. They embarked on a 36-show tour.

Pentatonix, who won the show's third season, has also found great success in the music industry.

The Sing-Off is produced by United Artists Media Group, Outlaw Entertainment and Sony Pictures Television. The show is executive produced by Mark Burnett, Deb Newmyer, Sam Weisman, and James Sunderland.
