Britney Spears has a new man in her life.

"Yes, there is a special someone," Spears, a former The X Factor judge, told Extra. "It's very new."

Spears, 32, revealed the current status of her love life after Las Vegas declared November 5 "Britney Day" and she received a key to the city on Wednesday.

The "special someone" is reportedly producer and writer Charlie Ebersol, the son of Saturday Night Live co-creator Dick Ebersol.

Spears posted a somewhat blurry photo on Twitter Wednesday of what appeared to be Charlie and a little girl.

"On our way!! #HappyBritneyDay," the singer tweeted.

After splitting from ex-fiance Jason Trawick in January, Spears moved on to dating David Lucado. However, she reportedly broke up with Lucado in August because he had cheated on her -- an incident she wasn't shy to talk about at a concert during her Las Vegas residency.

In response to rumors Jennifer Lopez will be headlining her own residency in Vegas soon at Planet Hollywood, Spears told Extra, "I would say it's an ideal situation to be here in Vegas and have a show."

"It's like a breath of fresh air," she continued. "It's like a dream come true for me seriously. I'm in one location. I get to go back and forth. It's amazing and it's good for the kids too."

Spears confirmed in January 2013 she would not be returning to The X Factor after judging its second season alongside Simon Cowell, Demi Lovato and L.A. Reid.
