The actor and Mean Girls star and Allison became the fifth couple eliminated from the competition based on the combination of the Dancing with the Stars judges' scores they had received during the last two weeks of performance shows and the home viewer votes that were cast immediately after each episode.

"Here's the thing. I came here to do this show to have fun and just to have a really great experience and to bring life back into my life. That's what I did and I can't thank Allison enough, and I had the best time of my life," Jonathan said following his ouster.

"I couldn't have asked for a better person to dance with me every single week on this show. I'm so proud of him, added Allison, a first-time Dancing with the Stars pro partner.

Actress and Pretty Little Liars star Janel Parrish and partner Val Chmerkovskiy were the other couple still in danger of elimination prior to Jonathan and Allison's ouster, however, they were not necessarily one of the bottom-two couples based on the judges' scores and America's votes.

Monday night's episode featured the remaining nine pairs each performing a routine for Dancing with the Stars judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli, Julianne Hough as well as guest judge Pitbull. Former show contestant Leah Remini filled in for Erin Andrews as co-host.

Jonathan and Allison tied for fifth place on the judges' leaderboard with 32 points after dancing a jazz routine. The couple tied with actress and Back to the Future star Lea Thompson and partner Artem Chigvintsev, who performed a 32-point worthy salsa.

Janel and Val finished in fourth place on the leaderboard with 33 points after taking the stage with a samba routine.

Actor and Fresh Prince of Bel-Air star Alfonso Ribeiro and partner Witney Carson topped the judging leaderboard in first place. The pair received 39 points for their salsa routine.

Second place on the leaderboard went to YouTube fashionista Bethany Mota and partner Derek Hough after they performed a tango routine which earned 36 points from the judges.

Duck Dynasty star Sadie Robertson and partner Mark Ballas danced their way to third place on the judges' leaderboard with 35 points. They performed the rumba.

Seventh place on the leaderboard was claimed by Michael Waltrip, a professional race car driver, and partner Emma Slater. Michael and Emma danced an Argentine tango that received 30 points from the judges.

Comedian Tommy Chong and partner Peta Murgatroyd tied for eighth -- and last -- place on the judging leaderboard with soap opera and General Hospital star Antonio Sabato Jr. and partner Cheryl Burke. Both couples received 28 points. Tommy and Peta performed the foxtrot, while Antonio and Cheryl danced a salsa routine.
