The couple already has a 19-month-old son Milan.
Shakira reportedly told the Spanish Cosmopolitan magazine in late August she's pregnant with a boy, as the publication teased its September issue by writing, "The sexy singer admits Milan will have a little brother soon." Shakira revealed such news during the same interview in which she had confirmed her second pregnancy.
Reports of Shakira's second pregnancy first surfaced in late July and claimed she's actually having a little girl.
Shakira and Gerard met on the set of her music video for "Waka Waka," the official song of the 2010 World Cup.
The Voice's seventh season is set to premiere on September 22 at 8PM ET/PT on NBC. Shakira has taken the season off and will be temporarily replaced by Gwen Stefani.
