Kate Gosselin clearly hasn't given up on being a reality TV star.

TLC has announced it's ordered more episodes of Kate Plus 8 which will air this December.

The network chose to move forward with the additional episodes after a two-part special featuring an update on Kate Gosselin and her eight children aired in June and drew high ratings of over two million viewers.

With Kate, 39, and ex-husband Jon Gosselin's sextuplets now 10-years-old and their twins 13-years-old, cameras will document the mom and her kids traveling to and enjoying a vacation in New England. The children will be wrapping up their summers with fun activities while Kate prepares for another school year.

Cara and Mady will be entering eighth grade, according to TLC, and Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Collin, Leah and Joel will be starting the fourth grade.

Jon & Kate Plus 8 premiered in April 2007 before relaunching into Kate Plus 8 in 2010 following the couple's 2009 divorce and Jon's decision he wanted a life away from cameras.

However, Kate -- who competed on Dancing with the Stars in 2010 -- raising their children alone apparently didn't interest viewers as much because TLC canceled the reality series a year later in August 2011. Shortly afterwards, Kate appeared on Celebrity Wife Swap and The Celebrity Apprentice.

Although Jon, 37, and Kate haven't starred in any reality shows with their children in a while, the group has still managed to remain in the limelight with all their family drama.

Kate Plus 8 is produced by Figure 8 Films.
