The Real Housewives of New York City star Ramona Singer has opened up about why she's finally decided to kick alleged cheating husband Mario Singer to the curb.

Ramona, 57, tweeted about wanting to leave Mario, 60, and move on with her life on August 7 after giving him a second chance that he seemingly took for granted. Ramona separated from Mario in January after discovering he was allegedly having an affair with a 32-year-old woman named Kasey Dexter, however, they reconciled several weeks later.

"We were working very hard on our relationship and making great progress," Ramona told Us Weekly, explaining that she and Mario underwent about 15 weeks of therapy prior to their official breakup. "It was really working well."

After all, Ramona and Mario have been married for over two decades and share a 19-year-old daughter named Avery together.

"Then I got the feeling that he started seeing [Kasey] again," she said.

So on July 23, Ramona reportedly confronted Mario about her suspicions.

"He wouldn't admit to it. He said everything was great with us," Ramona recalled to Us. "Then the next morning I pushed him on it and he admitted he [had seen her], and I just said, 'I can't do this anymore. Goodbye.'"

The reality TV star then kicked Mario out of their house, adding, "I left him a note saying, 'Please don't come to the house in the Hamptons, and please get an apartment. I don't want to see you anymore.' And that was it. He kept calling me and calling me, but I wouldn't take his calls."

Ramona said she has "no idea where he's living" now, according to the magazine, and leaving him is "a relief at this point" even though he has "cried and begged" to get her back.

"A lot of women told me you leave when you're ready; you don't need to leave because he cheated on you. And I looked at the bigger picture. There were problems in our relationship, but nothing bad enough for him to cheat," Ramona explained. "So we were working on it. And then I just realized, no, that's a betrayal, a lack of respect to me and my daughter."

Ramona is reportedly certain now that she wants a divorce, as she had threatened Mario with that earlier this year but clearly never followed through with filing the paperwork.

"I would never reconcile with him. No chance. I believe in marriage, I gave him a second chance, and he betrayed me and our daughter. You just don't do that," Ramona confirmed to Us. "I was walking on eggshells. I have closure now. You give someone a chance, and if they can't change, you have to go on with your life."

It apparently didn't take much for Mario to get over his wife, as he's been spotted on numerous occasions out in public with Dexter, whom he allegedly first began seeing in Summer 2013. According to The New York Post, Mario had gotten Dexter, a blonde socialite, pregnant last year and then paid for her to have an abortion.

"I married a traditional man, a God-fearing man -- high morals, high scruples, believes in family and tradition," Ramona added. "This man today is not the man I married."

Ramona has starred on The Real Housewives of New York City since the series premiered in 2008. The series just aired its sixth-season finale in late July on Bravo.
