Hell's Kitchen crowned Scott Commings from Woodstock, IL, the Fox culinary competition's twelfth-season winner during Thursday night's finale broadcast.

As the show's twelfth-season winner, Scott won a $250,000 head chef position at Hell's Kitchen star Gordon Ramsay's Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
"Scott is a tremendous leader and is never afraid to take risks. Throughout Hell's Kitchen, he showed incredible determination and became a stronger chef even as the competition became fiercer, proving that he has what it takes to make a mark on the culinary world," Gordon said of Scott's performance.
Scott defeated Jason Zepaltas from Chicago, IL, during last night's Hell's Kitchen finale broadcast.
After Jason and Scott stayed in a luxury suite at the Four Seasons hotel in Beverly Hills and then went to a boxing match with Gordon, the guys had to participate in their final challenge of the season. Each chef was given one hour to create five unique dishes: a cold appetizer, a hot appetizer, a chicken entree, a seafood entree, and a filet of beef entree.
Each category was judged by a different professional chef and each dish was scored from 1-10 points. The person to score the most points overall would win the challenge.
Scott and Jason tied with eight points for their hot appetizers as well as nine points for their chicken entrees. Jason beat Scott by one point with his fish entree, however, Scott trumped Jason by one point in two categories -- the cold appetizer and beef entree. Therefore, Scott ended up winning the challenge.
As a prize for winning the challenge, Scott got to have first pick amongst previously-eliminated Hell's Kitchen twelfth-season chefs to join his brigade for the final dinner service. Scott decided to select Chris Eversole first, but Jason admitted Chris wouldn't have been his top choice anyway.
Gordon told Scott and Jason they had both managed to lead dinner services that were "incredibly close."
