ABC has announced that the the ratings for the third edition of its "The Bachelor" series continued to grow on its third episode, up over the prior week in both Total Viewers (11.5 million vs. 11.2 million) and Adults 18-49 (5.6/15 vs. 5.4/14). The two-hour episode generated ABC's largest audience and highest young adult rating in the time period in 2 months - since 2/19/03.

"The Bachelor" surged from its lead-in and built its audience during each half-hour of its broadcast. From its first half-hour to its final half-hour, "The Bachelor" grew by 2.6 million viewers (10.1 million to 12.7 million) and by 48% among Adults 18-49 (4.4/12 to 6.5/18). With "The Bachelor," ABC won the final hour of the night (10:00-11:00 p.m.) by a strong 47% among Adults 18-49 (6.3/17 vs. 4.3/12 - NBC).
