Variety reports that The WB has ordered a second seven-episode season of the hourlong series, which takes a group of former classmates and brings them back together 10 years after graduation to participate in a reunion at a fantasy location.
The second reunion will focus on the 10th reunion of the 1993 graduating class of Round Rock High School just north of Austin, Texas. Production will start in the spring for a likely fall premiere. "We always envisioned 'High School Reunion' as a franchise, and we wanted to move quickly into production of the next installment," said Keith Cox, the WB's senior VP of alternative programming. "It was an experimental show because there's no game element, but the storytelling ended up exactly where we wanted it to be," said "Reunion" producer Mike Fleiss. "We're glad we're doing it again."
