Reuters reports that cable music network VH1 said on Wednesday that it has pulled the plug on a planned reality series featuring Minnelli and her new husband, producer David Gest.

"Liza & David" had originally been set to premiere this month but was later pushed back and now appears to be dead in the water. "We've made the decision to not move forward with the Liza and David show on VH1," the network said in a statement. "Although we continue to believe that Liza is an amazing talent, we were not given the cooperation and access that we were promised and that are necessary to make the show a reality."

The office of Minnelli's spokesman said she and Gest had no comment, though they are expected to issue a statement soon on the subject. The show was to have featured musical performances, dinner parties with the couple's celebrity friends and inside looks at their high-society lives.
