Based on the Fast National overnight ratings for Wednesday, October 10th, television viewers flocked to premiere of "Birds of Prey" on The WB and "The Bachelor" on ABC -- and in the process left CBS' second episode of "The Amazing Race 3" with a deeply disappointing fifth place finish.

For the Wednesday 9PM hour, NBC took control with "The West Wing," 10.7/17. "The Bachelor," 8.5/13, was a strong second overall and actually won the hour among adults 18-49. The WB's "Birds of Prey" debuted to a 6.4/9 and FOX's baseball playoff coverage scored a 6.5/11, leaving CBS' "The Amazing Race 3" with a 5.3/8 fifth place finish (beating only UPN's "The Twilight Zone.")
