Don't look now, but it appears as though ABC might have another hit summer reality series on its hands.

Taking over the Wednesday night time period previously occupied by the network's just-concluded Dancing with the Stars hit series, last week's special two-hour premiere of ABC's Brat Camp drew its own very strong ratings numbers. A docu-reality series that follows nine troubled teens sent to a wilderness intervention program, Brat Camp averaged 10.4 million viewers during its two-hour debut.

Brat Camp's premiere also performed well in numerous demographic categories, drawing a 4.4/12 rating/share in Adults 25-54, a 3.9/12 in Adults 18-49, a 3.4/12 in Adults 18-34, a 2.5/11 in Teens 12-17, and a 1.5/6 in Kids 2-11 -- numbers that ranked it as the top program of the night in all those demographics, as well as total viewers.

More impressively, Brat Camp grew its ratings strongly over the two-hour 8-10PM ET/PT time period, adding 3.4 million viewers (8.5 million to 11.9 million) and increasing its Adults 18-49 numbers by 68% (2.8/10 to 4.7/13) from its start to finish.

Brat Camp's strong debut ranks it as the second most watched news series premiere of the summer, placing it only behind Dancing with the Stars June 1 debut broadcast.

Brat Camp also placed well in the weekly television rankings, with the show ranking fourth for the week ending July 17 in total viewers (trailing only CSI, Fox's All-Star Game broadcast, and Without A Trace), third in both the Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54 demographics (trailing only CSI and Fox's All-Star Game broadcast) and first in Women 18-34.

Beginning tonight, Brat Camp will air regularly in the 9-10PM ET/PT time period, with ABC proceeding tonight's new broadcast with a 8PM ET/PT repeat broadcast of the second hour of last week's two-hour premiere.
