Failing to endear himself to the remaining Lopevi members of the once dominant "Flab Five" male alliance who decided they were better off trusting two former Yasur rivals, John Kenney, the 22-year-old mechanical bull operator from Los Angeles, CA, was voted out of the game during last night's Survivor: Vanuatu broadcast.

Setting the stage for John's booting from the beginning, Survivor: Vanuatu's seventh episode opened with footage of John, the sole remaining member of the group of younger men's group that Lopevi's "Flab Five" had been voting out of the game since their first tribal council, relaxing around camp while the rest of his Lopevi tribemates worked. While John's status as an outsider had been made clear in Survivor: Vanuatu's initial episodes, the scene served to illustrate that despite the game's Episode 5 tribal swap that reduced the "Flab Five" to the "Flab Three" and added two former Yasur women to the Lopevi tribe, the remaining "Flab Five" members still did not care for him.

Over at Yasur, Rory Freeman, the "Flab Five" member that had been switched to the women's Yasur tribe but managed to survive two consecutive tribes to Tribal Council, continued to attempt to convince Ami Cusack, the 31-year-old barista/model from Lakewood, CO, and Leann Slaby, the 35-year-old research assistant from Kansasville, WI, that he would be far more of an asset to their women's alliance than Eliza Orlins, the 21-year-old pre-law student from Syracuse, NY.

When the tribes assembled for the Reward Challenge they learned the competition would require them to transport coconut juice through an obstacle course and into a glass jar. Numerous trips would be required to fill the jar -- with the winning tribe receiving a trip to the "Vanuatu Home Cafe" featuring coffee, treats, and photos of them and their loved ones, as well as a coffemaker that they could take back to camp. The competition seemed close for a while, but as the rounds went on the more nimble Yasur women began to pull away ever so slightly, and, despite some last-minute fumbles by Leann, Yasur won the challenge.

At the following day's Immunity Challenge, the tribes participated in a slingshot and ceramic tile competition in which using marbles shot by the slingshot, each tribe had to break all twenty of the tiles assigned to their tribe (four tiles per participant.) Despite watching the Lopevi tribe get off to an early lead, Rory -- convinced he would be going home that evening should Yasur lose -- rallied his team to victory with some dead-on sharpshooting, and as a result, it was the Lopevi tribe that was faced with attending Tribal Council.

Realizing that he had been a target the last time the Lopevi tribe had attended Tribal Council prior to the tribal swap, John lobbied hard back at camp, attempting to convince Chris Daugherty, Twila Tanner, and Julie Berry to vote out the handicapped Chad Crittenden -- who he considered an enormous sympathy threat. Despite their apparent receptiveness to his idea, no one followed through with his suggestion at that evening's Tribal Council, and as a result John was ousted in a 5-1 vote.
