FOX has announced that it will air American Idol: The Final Five 2004, an all-new special that takes American Idol fans back to the beginning of the season and highlights what has happened to date, on Monday, May 3 at 8PM ET/PT.

Hosted by Ryan Seacrest from the American Idol studio, the hour-long special will focus on the remaining five finalists, from where they have been, to the journey ahead. Now over halfway through the competition, the Top 5 will talk in an exclusive interview about their experiences on American Idol and how they feel about making it this far. They will also perform their favorite songs of the series to date.

American Idol - Tuesday and American Idol - Wednesday rank as the No. 1 and No. 2-rated programs of the season among the Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34 and Teen ratings demographics.
