The View creator/executive producer and co-host Barbara Walters has announced that former Real World: San Francisco participant Rachel Campos is one of the final three contenders vying for the co-hosting position vacated by former co-host Lisa Ling last December.

Campos, 32, is married to Real World: Boston alum Sean Duffy, a Wisconsin district attorney who is contemplating a run for the US Congress Having met on the first Road Rules/Real World Challenge the couple has two children, Eva and Xavier, and are currently expecting a third child. Campos was also named a finalist during the first co-host replacement search conducted by The View in 1999. She grew up in a military family and graduated from Desert High School at Edwards AFB in California. She has two brothers and one sister.

The other two co-host position finalists are former Survivor: The Australian Outback Final 4 finalist Elisabeth Hasselbeck and actress Erin Hershey Presley, formally of ABC's Port Charles daytime soap. Since its launch, The View has received 16 Daytime Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Talk Show. The show has received numerous nominations, including six consecutive nominations for Outstanding Daytime Talk Show and Outstanding Talk Show Host. Now in its seventh season, it's seen live Monday-Friday (11 AM-12 NOON, ET), on ABC.
