Looks like one week in the Canadian Top 10 was the limit for the first single from American Idol 2 finalist Vanessa Olivarez. In its second week of release, her single, "The One," plunged down the Nielsen Sound Scan Canadian Singles Sales chart, ending up at #48 for the week ended October 12.

Ahead of Vanessa on the Canadian charts were the following former Idols:

1. Ryan Malcolm (Canadian Idol), "Something More," #1
2. Kelly Clarkson, "Low," #7
3. American Juniors, "One Step Closer," #12
4. Clay Aiken, "Bridge Over Troubled Water," #19
5. Ruben Studdard, "Flying Without Wings," #23

Unfortunately for Vanessa, it doesn't look like her Canadian-focused strategy worked all that well this time. Nevertheless, she still can say that she had a Top 10 single, and no one else from Idol except for the five listed above can say that.
