CBS' Wednesday, September 3 telecast of the "Fourth Annual Grammy Awards" meant that the evening's normal 9PM ET "Big Brother 4" telecast was bumped to the 8PM ET timeslot, and FOX's 9PM ET broadcast of "Paradise Hotel" certainly seens to have benefited from the absense of their usual reality showdown.

According to Daily Variety, the "Paradise Hotel" telecast shot up to a new high in Nielsen's preliminaries overnight Adults 18-49 ratings with a 4.1/12 rating/share. The ratings were a 24% improvement over its summer 3.3/10 average. The program also won its hour by 2 shares over ABC's Wednesday night comedies in the important advertiser demographic and by 7 shares in Adults 18-34 and was the evening's top ratings program in both.
