Martorana shared a slideshow of photos from throughout her relationship with Flaherty.

She confirmed in the caption she and Flaherty have started the process of ending their marriage.

"There have been some questions about the status of our marriage, so I wanted to confirm @daveflaherty80 and I have filed for divorce," Martorana wrote.

"We obviously had a lot of tough moments but we shared a lot of laughs and fun times together too. In the end we just weren't a good match, but I learned a lot through the experience and can now say I'm thankful for it," she said.

"I wish Dave well, and I know he wishes the same for me in return."

"It's time just to be happy, being angry and sad isn't worth it anymore just let things flow and be positive," he quoted a website.

Martorana and Flaherty confirmed they were living apart during the Season 7 reunion, which aired in October.

The pair said at the time they were still "legally married."

"For me, I've learned a lot about myself and the things I do," Martorana said.

"I really do want to fight for this. To try and reconcile and to try and make up for the things I've done wrong."

"Honestly, I don't think we'll be able to reconcile things," Flaherty disagreed. "We both hoped that it would be in a different place right now, but I think the reality is that it's just not."

"Married at First Sight" pairs couples who have agreed to marry when they first meet. The series airs on Lifetime and Season 8 is set to premiere on January 1, 2019.
