"It's so cool to see you like this," host Jimmy Fallon said to the 13-year-old wildlife expert about his enthusiasm for animals.

"You're actually your dad," he continued.

Robert said he was "the luckiest kid on planet earth" for being able to grow up around the Australian zoo and mentioned how meaningful his appearance on the late night show was.

"My dad was actually on 'The Tonight Show' quite a while ago and its really nice to be able to follow in his footsteps," he said.

Robert brought along a handful of his favorite creatures for Fallon to interact with including an African dwarf crocodile, a screaming armadillo, two sloths and Lady, a red-tailed boa constrictor who wrapped itself around Fallon's arm.

Robert's older sister Bindi Irwin commented on the segment on Instagram alongside a photo of her brother and their father from their "The Tonight Show" appearances.

"Tears in my eyes. So proud of @robertirwinphotography. You are more and more like Dad every day. I'm forever thankful to be your sister," she wrote.
