Bethenny Frankel has revealed the scare she got when visiting the doctor -- a visit that sent her to the hospital for three days.

"The doctor told me I'd lost 10 percent of my blood," "The Real Housewives of New York City" star said on "Good Morning America."

She was anemic, low on iron and had huge urterine fibroids that needed to be removed.

Frankel said she has previous suffered from numerous "female problems" including cysts and endometriosis.

She also said she now believes the fibroids may have caused her to miscarry in 2012, US Weekly reported.

She said "most of the women" on "The Real Housewives" were supportive as she prepared for surgery May 22.

Since that surgery, she said, she has been eating more vegetarian dishes and drinking a lot more water and juices.

Frankel said she is feeling good.

There had been some speculation back in April that Frankel had cancer, which she put to rest. She said the fibroids were not cancerous.

At the time, she said she was dealing with the issues and staying strong for her 6-year-old daughter, Bryn.

More recently, Frankel made news by confirming that her new boyfriend is still legally married. to an old friend of hers from high school.

She confirmed that New York banker Dennis Shields is legally married, but separated from his wife.
