The 29-year-old former "The Hills" star revealed she often smoked crystal meth a dozen times a day as a teenager in the new book.

Pratt also frequently used cocaine, and struggled with bulimia after she became sober.

"I was 14 or 15 [when I first smoked meth]," she confessed.

"I was on the extreme level and addiction developed instantly. [I smoked] probably four times before school then at snack... probably 12 or 13 times a day."

Pratt recalled not caring "about anything" during her addiction, writing, "I could live or die, I didn't care. I had nothing to get out of bed for, nothing was exciting."

The troubled star was arrested in 2006 for attempting to steal $4,000 worth of clothes while on drugs.

Pratt started to turn her life around after joining MTV reality series "The Hills" in Season 3.

Pratt previously told MTV the show, which also starred her brother Spencer Pratt, gave her an opportunity to "get healthy" and "be a role model."

"Made in Reality" was released online and in bookstores last week.

Pratt currently stars on the British reality series "Made in Chelsea," which returned for a new season Aug. 10.

The star has since been accused of lying about her addiction to garner interest in the show.
