"People keep asking. My next album is pop," Clarkson tweeted Saturday "But I am always influenced by music I love, which is pop-rock/country/r&b/dance #whoknowswhatsnext"

The album would be Clarkson's first since 2013's Wrapper in Red, and according to another tweet it might include a duet with a singer she's already worked with. Many are assuming she's referring to singer/songwriter Sia.

Lately, Clarkson hat continued to tease fans and offered a couple of clues about the album's first single.

Clarkson rose to fame in 2002 after winning the first season of "American Idol." Her debut album, Thankful was released in 2003 and it debuted at number one on the American Billboard 200 chart.

The 32-year-old singer is married to talent manager Brandon Blackstock, with whom she shares two daughters.
