Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert say they are careful to protect their privacy.
"We've kind told the good, the bad, the ugly as our relationship has progressed from the beginning until now," the former "Nashville Star" finalist related. "And people dig anyway and they make up lies, so I feel like we don't really hold back, because if you hold back they're going to dig anyway, so might as well just tell it."
Lambert and "The Voice" coach have been together since 2006, and married in May 2011. The couple are often the subject of breakup rumors despite their longtime relationship, and the singer denied reports she and Shelton are always fighting.
The pair's home in Oklahoma is their one place to retreat from the public eye, and Lambert said they make sure to keep it private.
"If we don't protect that, then we have nothing," she confessed. "We have to have something that's just for us. At some point you just have to go, 'All right, this is it, this is our line, you know?' We have our one little area of the world that no one can come into."Lambert and Shelton recently headlined the Route 91 Harvest music festival in October.
Lambert last released her fifth studio album, Platinum, in June, while Shelton debuted his ninth studio album, Bringing Back the Sunshine, in September.
