Erica Mena says fiance Bow Wow will not appear on the fifth season of "Love & Hip Hop."
"[Rose's divorce] helps me realize that when you're in the spotlight, you have to protect what's yours so much more than the average person," Mena related. "And I think that's why a lot of people will be surprised to know that my fiance won't be on 'Love & Hip Hip.'"
"I'm just pro-saving what's mine and keeping it away from the world," she shared. "When it's time -- right situation, right whatever -- maybe we'll consider it, but I really want to protect this one. This one is like everything I need, everything I want, he's my world. Sometimes you can't really show the world your world."
Mena and Bow Wow have been together for six months, and announced their engagement at the 2014 BET Hip-Hop Awards on Saturday. Production on season five of "Love & Hip Hop" will begin in late 2014.
