A chef at a Texas steakhouse said someone stole a 15-pound brisket off his outdoor pit when he went inside the restaurant for a time.

Chef Ronnie Killen of Killen's Steakhouse in Pearland said whoever took his brisket off the grill Sunday was at least courteous enough to put more wood on his fire pit, KHOU-TV, Houston, reported Tuesday.

Killen joked about the incident on Facebook.

"Hope they enjoyed it and helped feed their hunger," he posted.
