Photo album of late UAE leader declared world's largest

Guinness World Records confirmed a photo album dedicated to late United Arab Emirates leader Sheik Zayed Bin Sultan al Nahyan is the world's largest.

The album, which contains about 210 color and black and white photos of the leader, who died in 2004, was created by the Zayed Higher Organization for Humanitarian Care and Special Needs in partnership with the Emirates Heritage Club and Abdullah al Ka'abi, who often acted as SheikZayed's photographer, Gulf News reported Tuesday.

Guinness confirmed the tome, which measures 18 feet wide and 14.8 feet tall, qualifies as the world's largest photo album.

The book was unveiled during a Monday ceremony that also honored his wife, Shaikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, chairwoman of the General Women's Union, supreme chair of the Family Development Foundation and head of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood,

"We are delighted to contribute to this project that will help in highlighting achievements and charitable initiatives by the late SheikZayed and Her Highness Shaikha Fatima," said Mohammad Fadil al Hameli, deputy chairman and secretary-general of ZHO.
