'Under the Dome' filming sends school into lockdown

The filming of a gunfight for the TV adaptation of Stephen King's "Under the Dome" sent a North Carolina elementary school into lockdown, TMZ reported.
Producers of the CBS shows obtained the proper permits to shoot the scene Tuesday at a park in Wilmington, N.C., but police and school officials at Pine Valley Elementary School were not informed the filming would include the sound of gunfire, the celebrity news website said.
Students playing on the playground after lunch ran inside the school when the realistic-sounding gunfire began.
A deputy on duty at the school put the facility in lockdown for 20 minutes until the source of the noise was determined.
"Under the Dome" is a sci-fi horror series based on King's novel about a town that is trapped under an invisible force field, TMZ reported.
