Dorothy Inglis, 88, of Dunedin said she and her husband Peter, 90, celebrated 65 years of marriage Monday and the secret to the success of their marriage is keeping active together, the Otago Daily Times, Dunedin, reported Tuesday.
"We're always going out dancing, going to the clubs, housie [a bingo-like game], visiting family," Dorothy Inglis said. "Having an active life keeps you young. It's also important to have common interests. We both love dancing, gardening, socializing and traveling."
Inglis said her husband also supports her in her daredevil pursuits, which include speed boating and bungee jumping.
"It makes me happy and Peter always waits for me," she said.
