Merriam-Webster Associate Editor Kory Stamper said "super PAC" -- a political action committee that can receive unlimited funds from corporations, unions and other organizations -- is likely to be printed "fairly soon" in the Collegiate Dictionary and an upcoming revision of Webster's Third New International Unabridged Dictionary, Politico reported Friday.
The term was coined by National Journal reporter Eliza Newlin Carney in a June 26, 2010, column, Politico said.
"I had a feeling it'd catch on, but not like this," Carney said.
