The governor of Florida mistakenly gave out an adult phone line number instead of a toll-free hotline for information on the state's fungal meningitis outbreak.

Gov. Rick Scott directed Floridians during a cabinet meeting to visit the state Department of Health's website or call the number, which he identified as a "toll-free, 24-hour hotline set up in response to this" outbreak, WUSF-TV, Tampa, reported Wednesday.
However, the number the governor gave was soon discovered to be an adult phone line instead of the Department of Health information line.
"Hello boys, thank you for calling me on my anniversary," a recorded female says when the number is called, before directing "existing callers" to press one.
A representative for the governor said Scott is aware of the mistake and gave the correct number later in the cabinet meeting.
