Fired "Apprentice" contestant Troy McClain has been hired as host of a new reality series called "HomeTeam."

The syndicated reality TV show travels the United States, giving "deserving people" their first homes, producers said in a news release.

The show is being co-executive produced by Robert Scanlon.

"HomeTeam is an hour of television that exemplifies what makes America great," he said. "We get to see people come together to lend a hand for someone deserving. It's an emotional ride for the participants and viewers that elicits smiles, and tears in every episode."
