Celebrities with an urge to sing in public have a new venue, a reality show.

NBC has put "I'm a Celebrity but I Want to Be a Pop Star" on the fast track, Variety reports.

Celebrities trying to move into new areas appears to be one of the hottest reality trends. ABC's "Dancing With The Stars" has been a hit as a summer replacement, and Fox is moving forward with "Skating With Celebrities."

The show also has a British pedigree with Granada America co-producing with NBC. Granada's "Soap Star/Super Star," which airs in Britain, involves acting stars getting makeovers into singers.

On the show, the celebrities, none of them determined yet, will get training in singing and dancing before they compete for audience approval.
