NBC will put six new reality shows on its summer prime time schedule, Daily Variety reported Thursday.

The paper said the network would roll out the series two at a time in June, July and August -- with new shows being programmed mainly on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Several of the shows will feature celebrities, including rocker Tommy Lee and high-profile attorney Roy Black.

The lineup will also include the return of such NBC shows as "The Biggest Loser" and "Average Joe."

NBC scheduling chief Mitch Metcalf told Variety the plan is to introduce new programming every few weeks during the summer.

"We have six shows, and we want to roll them out in a logical way and not put everything on too early or too late," he said. "We don't want to tax our promotional resources."
