Some 300 people paid by artists Christo and Jeanne-Claude began dismantling the $21 million installation Monday as snow blanketed Central Park. The two-week exhibit drew more than 1 million visitors, the New York Post reported.
Every piece of the fabric-draped square arches will be recycled, the artists said.
It will take about two weeks to take down the display that drew both praise and criticism.
