Actress Lindsay Lohan's father has been charged with drunken driving in New York after crashing into a telephone pole, the New York Daily News reported.

Michael Lohan was not injured and escaped his 2005 Volvo before it burst into flames moments later, police said.
Lohan was charged with drunken driving and driving without a license.
A prosecutor said Lohan had admitted to taking the anti-depressant drug Paxil and drinking. First District Court Judge David Gross suspended Lohan's license and set bail at $40,000 bond or $20,000 cash.
Lohan had completed a court-ordered course of rehabilitation on Jan. 17. He was sentenced to 28 days in rehab after episodes of drinking, fighting and alleged drug use that led to 13 orders of protection filed by relatives, including his estranged wife, Dina.
